The Shelbourne Hotel is not only one of Ireland's finest hotels, it's also one of its most historic. Located in the heart of Dublin City, with St. Stephen's Green as its unofficial garden, this hotel has seen more than its fair share famous and infamous characters from around the globe. 

The Shelbourne Hotel also played a minor role in the Easter Rising of 1916, when it was occupied by British troops, with members of the Irish Citizen Army and the Irish Volunteer Forces a 'stone's throw away' in  'the Green' (St. Stephen's Green). 

Later in 1922 room 112 was used to draft the Constitution of the Irish Free state.
