Doheny and Nesbitt - Greetings Card
Doheny and Nesbitt - Greetings Card
'Doheny and Nesbitt'
The first public house on this site opened in the 1840, and has since changed owners and names many times, but one thing that hasn't changed is that this Irish Public House is like no other pub in the country. This pub is possibly second only to the members' bar in Leinster House in terms of having a large group of deputies (Irish parliamentarians) present at the same time.
Standing in the shadow of the Dail (the Irish Parliament) Doheny and Nesbit has become a magnet for politicians, journalists and other professionals including well known stars who stay in one of the many surrounding local 5 star hotels.
I's also said to have been visited by poets playwrights and writers like Yeats, Bram Stoker, Oscar Wilde and Beckett so it's easy to see how steeped in history and culture this pub is.
It's said many deals have been made in one of the many 'secret' snugs and over a pint of 'the black stuff' in this bar and it's likely many more will be made into the future.
For any aspiring politician or political watcher, writer or artist, this the place to be.
Located close to St. Stephen's Green, it's often standing room only in this unique Irish pub.
This unique greetings is created from an original art work by Irish artist, Steven Farrell and is printed and packed by Steven in his art studio in Dublin.
