'A Curious Cow'

I chose to paint this incredibly fun painting of a cow because I LOVE cows and I really wanted to paint a piece that was fun, a little pop-art like and also a piece that reminded me of my own experience with cows, who I always find fun and inquisitive and that's why I named this piece 'A Curious Cow'. I spent lots of time in the Irish countryside when I was a kid so I've lots of funny stories about cows, an animal I really adore.

This cow painting was created over several weeks by building up countless layers of fine detail and glazes to build tone, depth and texture. .
