'Hairy Hamish'

I chose to paint this incredibly fun painting of a Highland cow because I LOVE cows and this breed in particular. I really wanted to paint a piece that was fun, a little pop-art like and also a piece that reminded me of my own experience with cows, I also spent lots of time working on 'Hairy Hamish's' hair, which was incredibly fun to paint.

This cow painting was created over several weeks by building up countless layers of fine detail and glazes to build tone, depth and texture. . 

This stylish painting would make a perfect statement piece and is sure to be a conversation starter. 'Hairy Hamish' would hang perfectly in a stylish home and enhance any interior.
